After having replaced a failed blower motor a couple weeks ago, I found last night that now the Blower doesn’t know how to turn off.
Turned the car of and the blower continued at full speed, turned the car back on and adjusted the fan speed to the off position, but it kept running. Great, the resistor/control module failed again. Pop the hood and pull the 30a fuse and the blower shuts down.
I’m fairly convinced this car had its wiring harness done by a former Lucas employee.

Reminds me of working on the tailgate of my ‘64 Falcon wagon. It had a power tailgate window that had to be down for the tailgate to open, but the dash switch did nothing and the keyed switch on the tailgate was damaged. I started tracking wires and where they passed under the trim panel on the right quarter the wires had been cut & taped back together(the same wires!) four times in a 12" length. once I had those solidly together it still wouldn’t work, so I eventually dissembled all the trim and weather stripping around the door so I could open it with the glass still up, then took the door apart. There I discovered the original wiring had been disconnected from the motor, and new wiring run, which had been fed to the grommet at the edge of the door, and cut off flush. Hooked the old wiring back up and it worked perfectly.
